Frequently asked questions
What is Korea Subway Guide?
An English guide to 35 subway lines and 934 stations in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Incheon, Busan, Daegu, Daejeon and Gwangju, with first and last trains, full timetables, 4,331 station exits, station-to-station routes and lost & found contacts. It is built from Korean public transport data.
Where do the English station names come from?
From official sources: Seoul Open Data Plaza (station English names), Busan Transportation Corporation and the National Urban Railway Station Standard Data (data.go.kr). They follow the operators' romanization, so they match the signs in the stations.
How late does the Seoul subway run?
It depends on the line and station. On weekdays the latest last train on Seoul Subway Lines 1–9 leaves at 01:11 (Line 2), but many stations see their last train around midnight or earlier. Check your station's page for exact times.
Are the timetables official?
Seoul Lines 1–9 and the Busan, Daegu and Daejeon lines use the operators’ official timetables; other lines use the national TAGO subway data. Timetable revisions can change times, so check the timetable posted at the station too.
What should I do if I lose something on the subway?
Call the lost & found center of the line you used — every line’s number is on our lost & found page. Korea Travel Hotline 1330 offers 24-hour interpretation if you need help in English.
